Oregon in Dyer's Fave five

Post by jhopduck »

Michael Dyer, honestly I don't see us getting him from Auburn or Arkansas but it's early so who knows.
"Dyer, who holds scholarship offers from practically every top program in the country, said the Tigers cemented themselves among his favorites. Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, Oregon and Oklahoma, he said, is his current top five."

Rivals has him at 201 pounds and running a 4.4, rated 5* (Scout has him a 4*). We need a RB in this class that is over 200 lbs. He hasn't visited and we are in his top 5? Get that kid over to Eugene.

After watching his video you could tell me that was video of J. Stewart running and I wouldn't be able to tell you different. Their running style is remarkably the same.

Looking at Dyers profiles, as well as some of the articles I found about him, MD seems to have gained about 5-10 lbs/year the last couple of seasons. If this is accurate, he could end up being in the 215-225 range by his freshman season of D-1 ball. Retain that speed, and he would indeed be an an impressive speciment.

His promo site says that he has run a 4.39 40. We are in his top 5 and he hasn't visited yet. This is good news all around AND his academics appear to be in order. His site also says that Oregon has offered.

Ok... call this sour grapes if you will.... but I just watched his highlight reel.... and I honestly think it's better than Bryce Brown highlight reel. I like how he has a shorter stride and he has awesome vision in the hole. He is deceptively fast and once he was in the open field, which appeared to be quite often, he was gone. Mark this kid up as my own personal #1 RB target over 200 lbs.

I couldn't agree more this kid really does look like an old oregon star. (J STEW) He looks like a brick wall running the ball. he doesn't look nimble and fast but he is.
I want to get him muck more than i wanted bryce brown(not that i didnt want brown) but this kid looks like he has one hell of a future.
GO DUCKS!!

It wasn't long ago that he didn't list the Ducks in his top 6, so moving in to his top 5 is moving in the right direction at least. :)

Agree with wounded, the Oregon weightroom would easily pack 10 lbs. on him by his sophmore year. The dude is a brickhouse and IMO he does look better then BB!!! Lets get him a VISIT, then i bet we move up on his interest level!!!

With so many good backs giving us a serious look this year, the anticipation is going to be difficult. I hope the coaches are able to land the one they want.
