Re: Oregon boise game to move to thursday.
This is huge for Oregon IMO.
First of all we will get to start practice 3 days earlier than every other Pac-10 team. I dont care that its only 3 days but we get an earlier jump on getting things worked out and new wrinkles thrown into the mix by the time Pac-10 play happens. Its also more practice time which is huge.
Secondly this game was going to be a big time game regardless if it was played on Saturday or now Thursday. The thing is people will be pretty much forced to watch us and it will bring in a lot of money for our AD in a time of crappy economics.
Lastly this game will be on national TV and recruits will get to see us play all across the nation. They wont have 15 different games to choose from to watch.

Guys...the trip is in 6 months. Request the day off. Drive up on Thursday morning and be in Boise by early afternoon. There is no excuse not to bring a big crowd when it's a 7 hour drive and a $100 in gas (max) both ways.

Well assuming it's gonna be at 7pm, I don't know how much exposure we really get from these weeknight games from kids and media on the east coast. But since I'm not going anyways, I like the idea

I wouldn't be shocked to see it start at like 6 for that very reason.Tray Dub wrote:Well assuming it's gonna be at 7pm, I don't know how much exposure we really get from these weeknight games from kids and media on the east coast. But since I'm not going anyways, I like the idea

Chip Kelly has six months to prepare for this game. Moving it forward 36 hours will likely not change the outcome.
