Oh Bobby......... 25 years old eh? Too bad you lied to your boss about it. Now your wife has to be publicly humiliated. What a man.

Petrino Accident

Post by Duck24 »

And she's engaged to a swimming coach? And supposed to marry him in June?! Ouch...that is a ton of lives ruined in one fell swoop. They have to can him, there is no way they can't. It's a shame too because Arkansas is/was going to be very good this year.

Sounds like she was recently hired to work in the football department in some regard too. This is an absolute PR nightmare for Arkansas and I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired next week. Might be a good ol boys SEC police coverup to boot.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
Confirmed: AR state police commander asking for answers to questions relating Captain Lance King's response to Bobby Petrino folo accident.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
We can also confirm Petrino's cell called King, asking for help. Police report states King picked Petrino up at intersection in Fville.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
According to report, King was not the officer who responded to accident scene. That officer found no one when he arrived.

Chris Bahn ‏ @cbahn
King is the officer who works security detail for Arkansas football in-season. He transported Petrino to Physican's Specialty Hospital.

In response to media inquiries, Arkansas State Police will further investigate Capt. Lance King's role in aftermath of Petrino crash.

This is a total disaster for Arkansas. I feel bad for their fans.... Some fan bases I love to see crash and burn (I'm looking at you buckeye fan), but arky is pretty harmless in the big picture and it's too bad.

Smooth move coach.

Perfect example of how "the little man" can ruin your life if you let him make the decisions.

I know that it's a bad situation, but he may survive as coach there. Look at what happened with Rick Pitino. That was a HUGE mess too, but it eventually cooled down and he survived it.

Even though there is a moral issue at stake, and there WILL be division among the fans, there's also an Athletic Department budget that must be met and they must remain competitive in the SEC.

If this were 20-30 years ago I think he'd be history, but in today's world college football is BIG business.

Personally, I think he survives, but that's just a guess on my part.

From an emotional standpoint, I hope the wife was suspicious of this loser and this didn't just have it all come crashing down on her without any idea what was going on. It's always hard to see someone get the rug pulled out from under them without warning. Hopefully she had a chance to build up some resentment of the loser's before this actually happened.

Perhaps that is a twisted way to look at it, but...

If she throws a sheet over his sorry butt while he's sleeping in the den/dog house, and beats him with a 10" cast iron skillet, it would probably be to her benefit to act surprised by the incident, rather than say she was suspicious all a long... Just sayin'! ;)

The guy is a little prick….he belittled a reporter last year when showed up at a press conference with a Florida hat on (which was kinda stupid on her part but still) and last year he refused to shake Les’ hand after the game.

I hope he gets fired and the only place that offers him a job is Tulane.
