High? Low? I think it's about right considering his entire body of work, and not assuming his potential "upside".

The only other Duck with a possibility is TJ Ward.brich75 wrote:well at first i was pissed!! after reading the article i guess he has some valid points.I still will not agree with jizz rodgers being above blount.

I'm trying to figure out who the rest of the list is going to be.
The top 8 in some order will probably be:
Jahvid Best
Taylor Mays
Rob Gronkowski
Syd'Quan Thompson
Kristopher O'Dowd
Brian Price
TJ Ward
Damian Williams

I'm sorry but I just don't see as to how you can even come close to saying Mays is overrated. The guy is 6'3'' 240.. Runs a legit 4.2 and the USC trainers have him on all sorts of special diets and weight lifting programs so he gets stronger, without adding weight. They said he could have easily been around 265 by the start of his junior year, but were afraid that he would lose some speed carrying that weight. Also as most teams in college run the cover two often for coverage, USC virtually ran the cover one last year with Mays covering the whole deep half of the field due to his athleticism. Mays was THAT good that they could afford to bring Smith up as virtually another line backer, hence why USC's defense was that good against the run. May's dip in production last year was due to USC running this 'cover one' type defense. I'm sorry but I think Taylor Mays really is THAT good.. Gronkowski should be number one just because I don't think any team in the PAC can find an answer as to how to even SLOW him down let alone stop him, but Mays is way more than deserving of being ranked as the second best player in the PAC-10.

you dont have to say you sorry its your opinion..I never said his measurements werent impressive.Im just not impressed with what i have seen from him compared to the non stop talk i hear about him. the only big hits i seen him make last year where flagged because they where late.(but they were huge hits and barely late.)maybe way overrated was not the right choice of words. In my opinion he didn't live up to all the hype that was out there about him.(a lot of which was made by him)i'm not saying i wouldn't love for him to be a duck or he isn't a stud.He is and will only get better.
bottom line i think he will be #2 on the list.

Re: #9 Jeremiah Masoli - on Miller's Blog
Alright I tried to remember where I heard that he ran a 4.2, and then looked all around the internet and all I could find that was half credible was saying he ran a 4.28.. So maybe my man crush on Mays made me exaggerate some.. Anyways though, the reason he didn't make as many plays was because he was mostly just making sure no deep threats got past him.. If the guy played the role of steve smith where he was essentially another linebacker there is no doubt in my mind he would be getting over 100 tackles last year.. Hes one of the fastest players in the PAC and he also happens to be built like an elite LB

Personally, I thought I'd see Masoli in the Top 5 and Blount & Thurmond in the Top 10. I can't believe that Miller is going to rate Jizz in the top 10 ahead of Masoli, the guy didn't even finish the season.
Sorry guys, there is no one else who will make the remaining top players from the Oregon squad, Miller already jizzed.
