Honestly, one of the more intriguing games. Was Arizona's loss to Oregon just a fluke? Or was their OK State win just a fluke? The jury is still out.

And the Beavers seem legit, but this should be more of a test than their first two games IMO.

Right. First game Beavers will play without a bye week advantage over their opponent. If the Beavers win, I think it's just huge for them -- starting out the conference season with two road wins against ranked or nearly-ranked opponents. I think they would then likely win every one of their conference games before their game at Stanford in November (they also have a game at BYU in a few weeks that looks interesting).

This game is a super opportunity to scout the Beavers against an offense similar to our own. Too bad it isn't later in the year.

If OSU is as good defensively as they appear after 2 games, they might be a real threat at Reser and watching them play UA should be the best scouting we'll get on them.

But if UA were to somehow blow them out, the scouting would be worthless and they would try something completely different with Oregon.

One issue for this game I've been reading about is how much of an adjustment it will be for each defense given their respective opponents so far. There is a suggestion that it will be more difficult for Arizona since they've played nothing but spreads so far (including their own practices) and now go against a pro style, whereas the Beavers prepared for the spread for Nicholls State and UCLA is a spread team. Do UCLA's and the Wildcats' respective spread offenses differ from each other's very much? I just haven't been paying attention.

Wow the Civil War is starting to freak me out. Mannion is obviously the real deal, their defense still looks solid enough to slow us down a little. And now even Storm is getting in on the action? hmm
