Hopefully he can get these issues out of the way and get his life back in order. Sad to see someone at such a young age already battling such demons. Issue with people entering rehab though is that it has become such a cliche thing to do as a way to get back in the good graces after a colossal screw up. Didn't Honey Badger go to 'rehab' for about a week after he got booted? And every celebrity ever busted for DUI? I am not saying that he is only entering rehab in order to get his football career back in order, but this is one of those 'I will believe it when I see it' situations. Regardless though, best of luck to him.

The truth is , the chances of short term rehab effectively "curing" any kind of addiction is pretty slim. There has got to be strong commitment on the part of the affected individual that they may never have shown in their life.

I honestly wish the young man good luck.

I lost my brother in law in an alcohol related motor vehicle accident, just when we thought he was "turning his life around."

My kid brother died three years ago, from pancreatic cancer, which his physician was convinced was caused by alcohol/substance abuse. He never tried to clean up his act, preferring the company of like minded "friends" to that of concerned members of his own family.
