Compton (Calif.) safety James Randall will take an official visit to Nebraska this weekend.

"Nebraska came in late and seems to like James a lot," Compton coach Calvin Bryant said. "They haven't offered yet but maybe they plan to offer on his visit. He's also going to visit Idaho May 1 and New Mexico State wants to get involved as well."

As for Compton's other, more publicized holdover from the class of 09, former USC commit Chris Metcalf, there's not much movement there.

"His transcripts are good, he's ready to go," Bryant said. "I'm still talking with USC about him and Oregon still wants to trip him in. I know this whole process has gone on a lot longer than I thought it would but hopefully something will happen pretty soon here."
