Would be rather funny if the Ducks somehow pull an additional commit or 2 out of this group before they return home... After all, this is a premium ticket with limited availability!
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

Re: Spring Game Visitors (Can we get a list?)
DB Gilbert St. Louis from Plantation High School is coming. He is very excited and very close to an offer. UCONN has offered so far and I have ben told Ole Miss is offering very soon as well. This kids stock should rise pretty quickly come summer and spring, you guys will be very happy the coaches jumped on him early.
Bad news with the other guys. Seems the state track meet is the same weekend as the spring game and everyone pretty much made states.
Issac will be running the 200m and 4x1 which if it wasn't for the 4x1 he would have came. They are one of the better 4x1s so he would be letting his team down big time if he came.
Ethan should win a few rings, he runs the 100m, 100m hurdle, 300m hurdle and 4x1
Ivan McCartney has his football banquet on the 1st. he says he wanted to come so bad but his team is important to him and he doesn't want to miss it. I kinda admire that though, it shows how mature he is. He could have easily bailed on them for a fun weekend but didn't. He should be here the week of June 10 as should everyone who didn't make it to the spring game.
Tony Grimes coach would not allow him to miss the first day of practice which is May 1st. He is the leader of his team and they need him. So it will be the 10th for him as well.

That is a heck of a list. I would love it if the Ducks get a few commits from that group. Amazing the kind of recruits we can bring in now.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (a TE from Gig Harbor, WA) is visiting. He is a 2011 recruit but already has offers from some big time programs.
Hopefully Kasaen Williams is also visiting? Anyone?

Re: Spring Game Visitors (Can we get a list?)
yea it is disappointing but it all came crashing down a few days ago after the district track meets were done and kids started to realize that they had a shot at getting state titles. Nut at least these kids are showing what great athletes they are. Most impressive to me is Issac Dixon, he has good size and speed for only being a junior technically. I never realized how fast he was in track. Putting guys like that on the field at Oregon will make a huge difference in making sideline to sideline plays.
But having 1 is better then none. Gilbert is a very good player and is making the trip out. He actually was the 2nd best 40 time behind Ethan Grant at the FSU camp that Ethan ran 4.3. I believe he was in the 4.4/4.3 range as well. He has much more room to grow then Ethan though. He stands about 5'11 and is about 180lbs. He is being recruited as a corner but could project as a safety because he is a hard hitter.

Re: Spring Game Visitors (Can we get a list?)
With an impressive list of visitors and the excitement of a new head coach and coaching staff as well as some great talent coming in and festivities surrounding the spring game I have decided I am going to make a trip out to visit some friends and family and attend the game and festivities and support the team and encourage the visitors to want to come to Eugene. Hopefully a huge number of fans show up (25,000+ would be awesome!)

The University of Oregon will host an extravaganza of sports-related activities to appeal to all appetites when it stages its Spring Fan Festival presented by Bi-Mart on Saturday, May 2, in the athletics department’s Casanova Center complex.
Included among the activities will be the hosting of the Ducks’ first baseball game against UCLA in 40 years, the women’s soccer team’s Civil War exhibition contest vs. Oregon State, as well as the football team’s annual Spring Game, representing its final scrimmage until August.
Parking for all events is a suggested donation of $2 per vehicle, with all proceeds directed towards the Todd Doxey Foundation. Doxey was an Oregon redshirt freshman football player who drowned last summer in the McKenzie River, with the funds used to help defray medical expenses incurred by the family.
The Autzen Stadium parking lot will open at 9 a.m., with all vehicles directed to enter the lot via Entry 4 and 5 off of Leo Harris Parkway. Bicycle parking also will be available around the perimeters of the stadium and the Moshofsky Center, with fans also encouraged to car pool.
The Moshofsky Center and adjacent Mo Plaza will open at noon and will include live music, interactive games, demonstrations conducted by various Oregon teams and coaches, autograph sessions, as well as food and beverage courts.
Included amongst the Moshofsky Center activities will be the opportunity for those in attendance to test their kicking skills, with one fan to be chosen to attempt a field goal in Autzen Stadium during halftime of the Spring Game.
The Oregon-UCLA baseball game will begin at 11 a.m. in PK Park, with tickets available by phone (346-4461 or 1-800-WEBFOOT) and on the athletics department’s official website, www.goducks.com, for $8. The women’s soccer game will start at 1 p.m. at Pape’ Field and is free of charge. The football scrimmage will follow at 2 p.m. in Autzen Stadium, with the suggested admission consisting of three non-perishable food items to be donated to Food for Lane County.
The Guest Services windows in the east and west ends of the main concourse of Autzen Stadium will remain open during the Spring Football Game to assist with the renewal of football season tickets as well as accept applications from fans inquiring about new season tickets.
The gates at Autzen Stadium will open at 1 p.m.
