I know there has been numerous threads talking about scholarships for next season but where do we stand again?
Riverea just left and I thought there was a couple guys missing as well, and possible a few more treansfers which brings to.....?
I thought I rememeberd hearning about 16, but that was awhile ago.
I'd like to see about 20 players commit but that might be a stretch.
Whats our schollie total to for 2010 (so far)?

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Well it was 16 or 17 going into spring ball. Now that Riviera has left its closer to 17-18. The full total will be known when Fall comes around and we know for sure who is here and who isnt.

Factoring in the departures of Stevens, Celotto and Rivera, if every recruit the Ducks signed in the last recruiting class makes it in, that will put the Ducks exactly at the 85 scholarship limit. I have heard a couple recruits might not make it in though.
If you want to work under the assumption that all the recruits make it in, then you need to look at how many scholarship seniors are graduating to determine how many scholarships will be freed up for the next recruiting class. That list totals 11.

A. Crenshaw
E. Dickson
W. Thurmond III
W. Glasper
T. Ward
T. Jackson
W. Tukuafu
B. Ferras
S. Toeaina
Z. Taylor
So, 11 should be the baseline number a person works up from. That number will increase if incoming recruits don't qualify, current players leave the team, etc.

The following year could be huge for the Ducks, I am looking way ahead but considering the depth and talent the Ducks have with a year of experience and considering the Ducks don't lose any underclassmen and only lose 11 seniors and bring in another good recruiting class, 2010 could be the year we have been waiting for!
