Detroit lions and refs

Ok I think I just saw the worst call ever by refs / rulein the lions game. Wow. Running back forsett was clearly down for Texans for like a 7 yard gain, but the refs Didnt blow the whistle an he ran for like a 70 yard Td. But u can't review the play for some reason even though I thought every Td was reviewed. Free points for texans. So bad. The fans r still yelling like 3 possesions later.

Didn't watch the game, but it seems like there's been some awful calls this year in the NFL, more so than usual.

This would have been the right answer.

The rule is if you challenge a td, they don't review it for you or at all and also add 15 yards. Refs got it right. Coach was stupid. Rule is stupid.

This is a situation where the ref's didn't need to throw their own flag for Schwartz' flag. They should have immediately recognized THEY were wrong and simply let it slide, let the review happen and take the ball back to mid-field.

Disagree. it isn't a judgement call. And it isn't the first time it happened this season.

What we in Oregon know about the Detroit fanbase was gleaned from the years where they treated Joey like crap. A guy who fed off of positivity in his game ran into the most negative fanbase in the country. I very much enjoyed it the year he started against the Lions with the Dolphins and after they played a clip of him playing piano on the jumbotron at Ford Field, he wiped the floor with them in their own building. A nice bit of 'closure' there. The Lions suck and so do a large portion of their fans.

Far from it. Your unsuccessful 1st round QB will be thrown under the bus 9/10 in any city. Detroit is no worse than the New York teams, Cleveland, and Dallas when it comes to negative fans turning on their own. Joey got a raw deal heading into a situation where he couldn't win, but I don't feel sorry for him. He got chances elsewhere.
