Lane Kiffin is a total moron. Hard to watch Notre Dame have the game handed to them like this. He keeps looking at his clipboard as if he had something there besides run it up the middle and get tackled for a loss.

Worse part for me was seeing their leprechaun holding up his finger saying "we're number 1" and realizing he is right. Maybe not the best team in the nation IMO but it is what it is.

There's a part of me that enjoyed USC lose simply because I like the fact that Penn State ended up with a better record than USC and I still despise Silas Redd leaving PSU for USC.

There was only 1:57 left in the game. Since they were down by 9 and needed two scores, the logical thing to do would have been to kick the field goal to pull within 6 and then try an onside kick. Going for the TD at that point made no sense at all. He still would have had to try an onside kick even if he had gotten the TD.

It was just a dumb move. The term "Lame Kiffin" may not be too far fetched because he may be a "lame duck (I hate to say that)" coach.

I wonder if Steve Sarkisian would take the USC job if it were offered to him? Yes, he's only been a .500 coach at UW, but that's with a lot less talent. Most people would agree that he's a better coach than Kiffin.

That could REALLY shake things up in the Pac-12! If Sarkisian went to USC, Jim Mora might jump from UCLA to UW. You just never know. Anyway, I already went over some of this in the "Coaching Carousel" thread.

He didn't turn down the job, he was still with the Seahawks when the UW position opened up. He was definitely on their short list, but when you are the successor to the Seahawks franchise you don't go the college route.

Isn't being on the short list, having informal talks and then issuing a statement that you have no interest turning down the job?
