True but what goes around comes around. For a guy who threw a huge fit in college when Harbaugh ran it up on him (what's your deal?), he is certainly putting a bulls-eye on his teams back should a team ever get a good lead on them. Would love to see Harbaugh and the 49'ers give them a taste of their own medicine this weekend.

The fake was called while game planning, the players saw the alignment and stuck to the game plan. You would have seen it earlier if they had punted then, it wasn't like PC told them to run it at that point.

eh, i don't know what 'goes around comes around' even means. the seahawks are bound to be losing big at some point in the future. not sure there's any correlation.

and harbaugh will be lucky to be up at all next sunday, let alone in position to run it up.

Think back to the prime of the USC days, when they were routinely beating teams by 30+. It was all fun and games for Petey back then. Once teams caught up to them and were in a position to blow them out and did score late touchdowns just to rub it in a little bit, Petey whined like a little baby and openly complained about it. Regardless of the automatic call on the fake punt, given how the Bills lined up, that was a garbage call. Neuheisel'esque. I don't have as big of a problem with them throwing against Arizona with Flynn the week before but the fake punt was low-ball.

As far as the game against the Niners goes, Seattle fans are a little cocky after a couple of big wins over the mighty Arizona Cardinals, led by All Pro QB's Ryan Lindley and John Skelton, and that juggernaut in Buffalo.

that, or the fact that seattle has a good team and a strong homefield advantage.

It's funny, for 10 years not a peep out of SF, not suddenly their fans are everywhere like coach roaches. If you look up front runners in the dictionary, you would see a pic of SF fans.

Because Seattle was known for its great crowds prior to the Holmgren era? Those great years of Rick Meier and Jon Kitna were among the most raucous of 12th man years.

Crowds follow winning teams, it's that simple. Notice how Oregon's fan base has grown as the team has seen more success? Guess Duck fans are cockroaches and front runners too.

People also flock in larger numbers to good/exciting movies over bad/boring movies. In the end, football really is just entertainment and its more entertaining to follow a team that wins.

Not sure why it is so repulsive to some that winning teams gather larger followings? Or why that is so frowned on. Sure there are a few of us wackos that are O fans through and through, but you can't expect most casual fans to be so - and I'm cool with it.

yes, actually. the commissioner specifically pointed to seattle fans when the nfl adopted their noise policies in the 1980s. seattle's 12th man has always been raucous.

i don't blame the 49er franchise for anything specifically regarding bandwagonism. that's simply the nature of california sports. everybody's a laker fan, until the lake show trades shaq and the clippers start advancing farther than them in the playoffs. then the clips go back in the tank, the lakers start winning titles again, and everybody's a laker fan. or everyone's a lifelong dodger blue blood, until they got caught up with rally monkey's and anaheim's world series run in 2002. baseball fans in the bay have to wait until the all star break to figure out if they're a diehard giant or athletic.

49ers merely suffer from the state they call home.

all this banter aside, it should be a very good game sunday night. the first meeting was like a title fight defensively, these teams beat the tar out of the opponent's offense. should be interesting how the offenses adjust, we didn't see kaepernick last time and russell wilson is growing by leaps and bounds each week.

i'm not even saying seattle's going to win, this is the nfl after all, jacksonville could walk into green bay and win a football game. i've never bet an nfl game probably never will. but as i said previously seattle fans should be confident. seahawks are a legitimate team, and they're so damn young everywhere i think we're going to be mentioned as a super bowl contender for the next few years. exciting times, especially after where this franchise was after the super bowl team was dismantled.

I believe the term used was Coach roaches and yes, there are some of those amongst the 'band wagon' fans.

sherman wins his appeal, and browner will be back by the wild card round. seahawks should be at full strength in the defensive secondary.

too bad WT3 couldn't stay healthy, he had a great opportunity to play a lot of downs the past month. rookie jeremy lane has played outstanding football in browner/WT3/trufant's absence, thurmond has competition to even get nickel back duties once he's back.

Unfortunately Seattle sucks away from home and they are showing that right now down 14-0
