Kid was really nice, and was real patient with me. Eager is an understatement with regards to him wanting an offer from Oregon. Wants to be Isaac Dixons roommate, here.

He wants to study criminal law? The O isn't a bad choice... Hope he doesn't switch to environmental law.

Great job Jhop. It would be awesome to land Dixon + Johnson.

wait... only a 920 on the SAT? Are you sure it's not 1920? 920 is boarderline lowest score you can get.

920 is easily an NCAA qualifying score... What's his core GPA?

Are these SAT scores from recruiting websites the new version of the SAT with the writing included (out of 2400)
Because a 920 out of 2400 would be horrible. I hope that's a 920 out of 1600, even then, that's a little low.

When the old school SAT was a max of 1400, I had an 1100... I carried a 2.6 GPA.

The truth is, there are some people who 'freeze' when it comes to test time. My wife is a great example... She carried a 3.6 GPA, and barely passed the SAT, because she doesn't do well on tests, when the pressure is on.

I don't know which score kids report to the websites, but only the critical reading and math sections of the SAT are used to determine eligibility. The writing section is not used.

Below is a link to a .pdf document for NCAA eligibility standards. It outlines the 16 core courses each recruit must complete and provides the sliding scale for core GPA and SAT/ACT scores. According to the chart, any recruit that has passed the required 16 core courses and scores 920 on the critical reading and math sections of the SAT would only need to maintain a 2.25 core GPA in order to meet minimum academic eligibility requirements at the Division 1 level.

I like his sturdy frame, but he is kinda short. If he has shifty moves to go along with that shorter body, he would be perfect. We should offer him considering our big need at RB and for a chance at Dixon.

28. DeAndre Johnson - 5′8″ 190 RB - Monsignor Pace: Johnson is a bowling ball of a running back that has surprising speed for as bulky as he is. He shows good balance and is not brought down by one defender very often.

I like the sound of that. The link is thanks to JHop.
