This could have something to do with playing a schedule that will be "remembered as the toughest high school football schedule ever laid out in front of one team"... as a soph no less, his team went 11-3....
Could be a great find by the staff...

Apparently this kid has been exploding at camps. He got MVP at some Southern Cal camp and runner up at another. He's also a good track and field athlete (high and long jumps, 4x100 relay team) and is good in the classroom. Someone else said that he might be the fastest top-speed QB in the 2010 class. Biggins is high on him and thinks he might end up being top 15 QB in the Country material.
Keep your fingers crossed, but it appears to me that we may land a diamond in the rough QB.
Oh I forgot to mention that he reminds me of Costa on film.

I hope you aren't using Kempt as an example in an attempt to get me excited about this offer.
No offense to Cody, but I would rather forget about his stint with the Ducks.
Who knows, I think Kempt could have ended up being a solid QB in the pac-10, but he was forced into play when he clearly was not ready.
Like people have mentioned in this thread. Bennett is looking like the #2 QB with tremendous potential. A definite redshirt QB who could be useful after a few years in the system. Kempt was clearly an upside player who would spend time with the coaches before ever playing. So who knows how Kempt would have turned out?
You could argue the same thing with Chris Harper. Lots of guys take a good 3 years in the system before they get the hang of it.
