Crosswhite to Cal

Post by ducksvb6 »

Just learned this morning that Alex Crosswhite OL committed to Cal last night. excellent playe from Catherdral Catolic in San Diego. Last year he played on the other side of their OLine with Benyard. The evaluations I 've heard say that he has good footwork and balance.

Yeah pretty sure he committed nearly a week ago.

Sucks to see Crosswhite go to Cal, but we got Benyard! And Rowland is still in play, so not a biggie.

Crosthwaite is a good pickup for Cal but he had no offer for a reason- he was slow. I'd rather get a guy with the speed needed in this offense.

Yeah we do need quickness for our OL, but you can't say Crosswhite was any slower than Benyard was as a Sr. in HS. Personally I don't really care that we lost Crosswhite because I feel that there are much better prospects out there.

I've also heard that it's a long way till Feb., and there's a very good chance that if UO ever offers he will take his visit.
