While his list is completely open at the moment Uko has plans to narrow things down in the near future and says that of the five he plans to cut his list to he is already fairly certain of at least three of them.
"I'll be at five, for sure. I'm pretty sure USC, Oregon, and Oklahoma but other than that I don't know yet I'm still looking at the rest for those other two. I don't know who they will be yet," he said.

Re: Uko Update
He's one of the biggest needs in this class. Great to hear we're in the top three at least.

Re: Uko Update
USC and Oklahoma will be hard for the Ducks to compete against and I bet Tennessee will make his final five.

Re: Uko Update
USC, Cal, and UCLA should be Oregon's biggest competitors for Uko. That said, Uko is a current lean to Oregon.gofightingducks wrote:USC and Oklahoma will be hard for the Ducks to compete against and I bet Tennessee will make his final five.

I figured Cal and UCLA would make his final list, but with Kiffen, I believe Tennessee is a contender as well!tonyd wrote:USC, Cal, and UCLA should be Oregon's biggest competitors for Uko. Re: Uko Update
If Cal adds Uko, Owa, and King to their already stacked class I'm going to s*** golden bears. that is an unreal defensive class.

These kids seem to really want to play in a 3-4 defense

Re: Uko Update
Maybe in the near future the Ducks can get a REAL defensive coordinator and they use a 3-4 D. I would like to see thatecho31 wrote:jhopduck wrote:If Cal adds Uko, Owa, and King to their already stacked class I'm going to s*** golden bears. that is an unreal defensive class.

so i guess this has to be explained againgofightingducks wrote:Maybe in the near future the Ducks can get a REAL defensive coordinator and they use a 3-4 D. 3-4 D ='s DE's around 275 ish with DT's at 300lbs
4-3 D ='s DE's around 245-275 with DT's around 300lbs
the # of LB's doesn't matter in a 3-4, it's the size of the DE's.
and I guess someone has to keep bringing this up...if you beech about our D now in a 4-3, why do you think it would be better in a 3-4? a 3-4 really turns into a 4-3 anyway because you usually rush one LB which just makes the kid an undersized DE or big safety. it's about personnel folks, not scheme. are you forgetting about all the bitching about only rushing 3 lineman? well that's what a 3-4 is. lol
find oregon on this list and then do the mental math. hugs.
