I wondering how much of a shot we have at him. We always seem to lose recruits to these bigger programs (i.e. more history than us.)

That and distance are really both out of our control. All we can do is keep winning and build a history, offer some of the big name prospects and hope for the best. We've been unfortunate because distance has usually been a factor and for others the history and our 'gimmicky' offense (the words of the coaches who negatively recruit, not me). Sure they've not always panned out but we have struck gold every so often which benefited us in a very positive way (Dixon, Stewart, Ngata, Thomas, etc, etc). So all we can really do is keep trying because we're bound to get lucky at some point. At least that's the way I look at it.
