Brennan Clay
Anybody else notice that Scout has him visiting Sept 5th? We have no game that weekend, is that even accurate?

That's one way to avoid letting game atmosphere cloud his obviously clear thinking about Oklahoma... Although if the Ducks destroy BSU on Thursday night, the party will should be on a roll by then.

if there is a bright side to him committing to ou its that it was ridiculous early and he has plenty of time to second guess himself and come to oregon!

He wants to play RB, can't blame him for going to Oklahoma.

Re: Brennan Clay
Except Oklahoma has about 4 other stud RB's who are just ahead of him. Oregon has..........1. If he wants to actually PLAY RB how can you argue with Oregon? Over the last decade Oregon and Oklahoma are remarkably close in terms of running the ball. It's not like Oklahoma blows us out of the water in that respect.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Re: Brennan Clay
bigsugar, in order to play RB, the team has to offer you as a RB or at least tell you, you will have a chance to play RB. Oregon offered him as a DB it appears.

Re: Brennan Clay
Ohhh well that puts a new light on it. I guess that might explain the knee jerk reaction to commit to Oklahoma on his part. Looking at Brennan run the ball and you wonder why the coaches wouldn't give him a schollie for that. Recruit him as an athlete and try him at a few positions...What is the likelihood that we modify our offer in this way?

Re: Brennan Clay
Based on information I have with other RB's still available I say we don't unless Grant de-commits, which he confirmed yesterday he's still a Duck.
Coaches are pretty into bigger backs, and since Grant is smaller and so is Clay, I doubt it changes, but it is recruiting and you never know, that said RB is one of the posititions I am least concerned with.

Given UOs success with RB the last 15 years, I'll take to coaches assessment of Clay and were he would fit in at UO.

I was just going to start a new post on an Ethan Grant update, to see how his "recruitment" is going. Thanks Jhop!jhopduck wrote:Based on information I have with other RB's still available I say we don't unless Grant de-commits, which he confirmed yesterday he's still a Duck.
