Ellis Powers comments on handshake and "The Hit"
on Masoli:
http://icecast1.fiberpipe.net:10000/fil ... s_Talk.mp3
Interview starts at about the 1:09 point... He calls Masoli unsportsmanlike for not liking the handshake idea, then, at about the 1:10 mark, states that he blew his assigment, so he decided to "put a little helmet on him".
Didn't want to hurt anybody... It's all part of the game!

I'm surprised this isn't everywhere as articles. He flat out said that Masoli had a "lack of sportsmanship" after he literally had not one, but TWO late hits the last time he played them.

That entire radio show was a gratuitous moron-fest. I don't think I need to hear any more out of Idaho about football. I get the picture.

I'm not sure how not wanting to shake hands before the game makes you hot headed. I think in time everyone is going to in realize how dumb this is to shake hands before games.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."
