If I recall correctly, without a single category above a 60 that affects the defensive rating you can have an A, (might be A+)

For reals? Do they actually defend well at that point, or just look like it?Brophdog88 wrote:If I recall correctly, without a single category above a 60 that affects the defensive rating you can have an A, (might be A+)

Re: 1996 DRAFT THREAD (Nuggets Up)
tough to tell really, but yeah, SF takes into account every defensive rating, so it jumps easier than say Center, where perimeter D, Steals, mean much less. Same goes for PG's, Blocks, Post D, Strengthpudgejeff wrote:For reals? Drive D means absolutely nothing, if you wanna mislead in the draft a bit, you inflate a guys drive D, push down his other defensive stats, makes him look better, but he plays much worse than appearance (you can use it at any spot).

Not saying this is what is going on with Walker, just a general

Meh, I think mechanics like that are pretty weak if being used to be completely honest. Especially if there is no signifyer in the write up about them since that's all we can go off.Brophdog88 wrote:Drive D means absolutely nothing, if you wanna mislead in the draft a bit, you inflate a guys drive D, push down his other defensive stats, makes him look better, but he plays much worse than appearance (you can use it at any spot).

You have to use Drive D, it differentiates the stats, it just never truly got implemented in game (same as greed, loyalty, play for winner)

Re: 1996 DRAFT THREAD (Nuggets Up)
As a creation mechanic, because this league is designed around a higher pot, lower starting stats model, without using having drive difference to get these players to look different you would see them look a lot more similar starting out.
