He told ESPN affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com before the announcement, "I'm a Duck. I'm so excited to get there and hear all them crazy fans up there. Not many people where I'm from get to say I played for Oregon. It's a privilege and I'm just so excited."ljginger wrote:Congrats on beating me to it! http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiti ... eason=2010

Good news. It's about time something good has happened for Oregon football. Hopefully he can pull in a couple of his friends along with him.

Re: McCain chooses Oregon!!
Wait, what does this mean?!?
"McCain only intends to visit Oregon. Additionally, he is one semester behind academically after transferring from Northern Guilford and could eventually end up as a Class of 2011 recruit."

It won't matter much. We are pretty deep at LB as it is.maxduck wrote:"McCain only intends to visit Oregon. Additionally, he is one semester behind academically after transferring from Northern Guilford and could eventually end up as a Class of 2011 recruit."

Don't see it as a big deal whatsoever..

Re: McCain chooses Oregon!!
The only "big deal" I see is it would leave him on the open to recruit list for an additional year. 18 months is a long time to hold a commit. On the positive ,with only 1 semester he could grey shirt & be here for spring drills in 2011.UOducksTK1 wrote:It won't matter much. A lot depends on how many credits he actually needs to make up.
