What's the point of all this? It's not like MBV trolls people. He watches film, shares his thoughts on players/schemes/coaches, knows people at Oregon still, pays close attention to the local high school football scene. If you don't enjoy talking duck football with a guy who loves it and loves talking football, what's the point of being on a message board?

his name has not been mentioned since the new staff came on board. I asked a week ago whether he was looking around or was this staff not interested. I think it might have been both. This also shows why the staff has made so many DB offers.

I say that since there are multiple people with opinions on the subject, we should act as if this is a message board that allows for all opinions to be voiced. It would be pretty lame if on any given subject there was a time limit or a post limit as to how many people can offer an opinion. To be honest, I can't stand the mentality of board members that seeks to silence or steer conversation to what suits their own personal interest. It's rather narcissistic if you ask me. Sorry if that sounds harsh, you are after all just offering an opinion.

It looks as though Demetrius Douglas has removed his "Oregon Commit" line from Twitter. He seems like a good player, likely opening his options which may open ours?

Since we've lost 7 scholarship players this past season/offseason, in theory would we be allowed to sign more than 25 scholarship athletes? Especially given our EE's?

i didn't know him personally whenever "the older educk days" were but i know him personally now and Mosster surely wasn't him. i don't think he's ever been anyone anywhere but MBV at dt.
and everything he ever told me checked out. i went to a post game party thingy with the camas hs coaching staff. i loved coach eagle's wife. she was very sweet to me.
and he got me a tour of the hatfield-dowlin complex where i walked exactly right into a glass door because i saw a big black guy outside down below and i was trying to see who it was. it was humiliating. and also the guy was no one.
anything he's ever said about joey harrington was true. independently verified.

it seems like douglas' offers are from good places. why are we so blase about losing an oregon guy to possibly notre dame or the sec?

I think it is because people see who we could potentially get to replace him and arr jumping at that chance. It seems to be that DD is gone though.

I would like to see him stick as I think he has flown under the radar a bit but we do have plenty of DB options should he flip

I think folks are blasé about losing Douglas, because Douglas would be a part of this class if the new coaches had or would make him a priority. While they didn't pull his scholarship (a bad pr move on a local kid), they also clearly have other PSAs higher on their board, and feel like they can fill that slot with some one more likely to contribute down the road. They' e offered a ton of dbs and the general agreement is they'll likely take up to 7, so if they valued Douglas they would have made him a priority to lock down.

Big Joe is pretty much a done deal.

I think Mario is 90% done, but I'm not going to discount some wild card HC offer he might get today. He's meeting w/ a few teams/reps today.

Because ND is desperate and the new staff wasn't crazy about DD. They like taller kids and because of that they limited their contact so he would look around. Kind of politely pushed him out.
