Post by UOducksTK1 »

Our first preseason game is 5 days away and the season starts in 2-3 weeks. So let's get this started.

I went with 17-18 wins.

We should win about 10 non conference games (Lose at Missouri and one other game that we really shouldn't). And then I think we win about 7-8 conference games.

17-13 (7-11) or 18-12 (8-10) is a realistic goal and would be a solid outcome for this team. I truly believe we have potential to win 20.

It's going to be a down year in the Pac 10. I don't think 20 wins is out of the question.

Completely agree. 17 wins is about what I see on paper. Hopefully this team will over achieve a little.

I went with 21-23. I think this team will surprise everyone and exceed expectations. I think they make the tournament!

I have no idea what to expect in the pac-10 season. I think we'll be a a little under .500 in the pac-10.

I voted 17-18. I think our talent is high enough that we will win games just by out talenting teams. I'm not sure how we'll do against teams that can matchup with us talent wise though. We'll see if Dunlap really is the Associate HC or not.

EK already stated in his press conference that Porter is the only player that has earned a starting spot so far. Porter will play both PG and SG. He also stated that Sim has the inside track for the PG position when those minutes are not coming from Porter. This is a VERY scary statement. Both Porter and Sim are talented SGs in my opinion, but both players lack skills to be a starting Pac-10 PG. If Porter or Sim are playing the PG position when we reach Pac-10 play because Armstrad is not good enough to grab those minutes, then this team has a HUGE problem. That is why I went with 17 wins. I hope Armstrad comes around.

I believe that even in their best years, the ducks didn't win 24 games in the regular season. That would be what, like 24-6?

12-6 in the pac-10 doesn't seem too terribly high of expectation's in my opinion...granted like I said if Armstead is as good as advertised and can create shots for people...If not we're stuck where we were last year cause there's no one on this team that can do that and none that can create for themselves often enough...We'll have lots of bad shots again and wasted possesion's in the post cause they're not getting the ball in the right spots.

Opposing guards will get whatever shot they want against those guys. Unfortunately I dont think this team will become real contenders until after Porter graduates.

Is Porter still the starting PG? Unfortunately, I'll go with 14.
