Just passing along what I read at DT, who knows the validity.

Well, that doesn't sound great. I'd bet my money on Hufanga announcing for USC next week, but keep in mind USC fans are notorious for making stuff up regarding recruiting.

He had waffled back and forth between UO and USC for awhile, but Taggart leaving was the dagger to USC.

Unfortunate. We NEED to get the top in state kids, period. If they go elsewhere, let it be Notre Dame/Michigan type schools and NOT in conference. Losing them to USC/UCLA/UW etc. since Chip left has been absolutely brutal. Has to stop.

Good luck to Hufanga down there unless playing Oregon.

We 100% need Devon Williams now.

Oregon likely would have had Hufanga but going through another coaching change derailed that. We can thank WT for screwing up the in-state recruiting.

Looks like a USC site spoiled Hufanga's signing before he was ready to do it (on his b-day on the 28th.) Seems he's already told Cristobal so it won't be a shock to them and they won't be wasting anymore time on him. Oregon will now have lost the top 3 in-state players after leading for them for much of the season.

Would have been great to get him, but the Ducks have inked some pretty damn good, rangy DB’s this class. Yes, it was prior to Hufanga committing, but Nemec made a point that the Ducks may have already signed the best Safety/DB class in the nation. I’m good with just being in that conversation.

While Oregon's is good, I'd say Texas has one of the best DB classes in the country, with the #1, 3, and 6 safeties and the #5, 6, and 14 CBs signed.

I agree it sucks that he's not coming here, but at least we got Holland and Stevens. We need to get Devon and a couple more wr's to finish with a strong class.

I thought he was only announcing and not signing until feb? Would we still have a chance to flip him? Kinda wish he would have stayed in oregon either with us or osu. We need more in state kid wanting to represent the home state!

Hate to bust up this thread....but losing Hufanga to USC and hopefully getting Solo Tuliaupupu outta Mater Dei would be a MASSIVE get for the Ducks! Let's go Coach Leavitt & Coach Joe.....roll up those sleeves and let's get this kid!

Is Solo in play? I have not read that anywhere.
