Probably won't be the first or last to make this mistake, but thought you were saying "Bruh, this McCoy guy!" and made a typo.greenyellow wrote:Bru McCoy was one name I've seen thrown around. He's a Mater Dei (a traditional USC pipeline) athlete who reportedly wants to get out of state for college. Heyward, Johnson and Donte Williams have been on him big time.Phenom wrote:Steele?GoDucksTroll wrote:If it makes anyone feel better we're going to snatch a 2019 commit from USC's grasp soon.
Sorry for cluttering up the thread with news that can't be revealed yet, just thought I'd share a little good news given how the day has gone.

What did you think was going to happen? Nothing will really happen until recruits start visiting.

Might not happen for a while, might happen soon.Phenom wrote:So...nothing happened?
I've made a recent commit drawing/edit for a 2019 4-star. Whether he commits soon or not is hard to tell. I had a different 2019 recruit ask for one and had a few recruits simultaneously ask me to make him one a few months ago because he's committing, and nothing happened with that one. Because 16-17 year olds are fickle.
I've also got a request from a big time transfer. Not a grad transfer, and it's far from a done deal, but if the Ducks can get him it's the equivalent of getting a high 4-star.
It would be nice if some dominoes started falling and a class leader developed. The past few years there's been a recruit or two who would hit me up and tell me who needs an edit, and were recruiting to build the class. Unfortunately, two of the commits from the past three years that were the de facto head peer recruiters wound up de-committing and going elsewhere.

Just goes to show, even if we get info straight from recruits or coaches things can change

Sounds good. it'll be interesting to see how the 2019 class shakes out with much of the same staff augmented by a few new pieces. I honestly think they've upgraded at certain spots for recruiting (Mastro, Dennison, and Donte Williams) and have refocused back toward the West Coast.GoDucksTroll wrote:Might not happen for a while, might happen soon.Phenom wrote:So...nothing happened?

Yes, Braden Lenzy was more or less the most active guy in peer recruiting behind the scenes. In the 2016 class it was Jared Mayden.Phenom wrote:Thanks for the info! Did that happen last class?GoDucksTroll wrote:Might not happen for a while, might happen soon.Phenom wrote:So...nothing happened?
