Re: New commit (not silent)
From all of the rumors of possible commits and now actually getting one, it looks like people are starting to see what Kelly and the Ducks are doing and joining so they don't get left in the dust.

You are 100% wrong. Washington is 6'4" 240lbs and from what I've heard is pretty quick off the ball. His offer list is pretty impressive for a 3 star. Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, and Oregon State all offered him. I can understand that you want to land some of the bigger names like Owa or Gabe, but we'll still take them if they want to come. Anyway, I'd rather have someone who is sure they want to be a duck than guys who don't know.
Gabe is still between Oregon and Cal, and it seems like he still can't decide. Owa said he still wants to check out other schools, but Oregon is high.

Gotta admit, I know nothing about this kid. I don't even think he has been discussed on this board, has he?

You are. It's okay, so are most of us. But at this point, WE HAVE TO TRUST THE COACHES. They pretty obviously know what they're knowing.mdm0302 wrote:is it bad that im not super excited about this guy...??? i mean with limited schollies this year and a huge win over usc i was hoping for gabe king, owa, and blue chippers.. maybe im just to into the rating systems

His 40 is also great. He'll be a very fast d-lineman. His bench and squat needs to improve a little, but for a high school kid they aren't that bad.

Re: New commit (not silent)
Yeah I'm definitely excited about this commitment. Obviously it's not King or Owa but this kid isn't no slouch. He's got great size & speed which equals a ton of upside. The amount of good offers also shows he's a much better prospect than his rating. Oregon makes such a killing on these mid-level guys I can't help but be happy we got one.

I'm glad to have him! People in the know seem to think this kid has potential, and thats more than good enough for me. Potential + Coach Azz = Dominating Front 4!
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Look at this rating, know who selected the player, and be excited.mdm0302 wrote:is it bad that im not super excited about this guy...??? i mean with limited schollies this year and a huge win over usc i was hoping for gabe king, owa, and blue chippers.. maybe im just to into the rating systems
