Re: Jalen Hall
Sounds like we won't know until tomorrow since that's supposedly when players are supposed to report for summer term.

Was it all a ploy to commit twice?
Seriously, though, I hope whatever his concern was that caused him to leave school has been resolved.

I wonder if he had some kind of illness like Mono or something long lasting like that. If he wanted to quit I think it would have happened by now. With medical law being what it is the coaches would have to keep their silence, but he could be back. Any thoughts?

I watched a pod cast where Prehm said as of right now he is saying all the right things and they plan on him being here on move in dayQuietduck wrote:I wonder if he had some kind of illness like Mono or something long lasting like that. I’ll believe that when i see it. I would be blown away if he lasts a full season. Doesn’t love the game apparently.

Is that confirmed somewhere? I’ve only seen it on here. Doesn’t make it not true, but feels like a rumor.jimmy12 wrote:I’ll believe that when i see it. I would be blown away if he lasts a full season. Doesn’t love the game apparently.

Two things that he tweeted after signing day and before spring practice: 1) there's more to life than football 2) that he was feeling immense pressure. I'm quite surprised at all the wild speculation and innuendo bandied about in all Duck corners, when he seemingly already gave everyone context.

Got it. Thank you. Yeah, sounds like he was under a lot of pressure and needed time away. Neither tweet convince me he doesn’t love football. Neither suggest that playing isn’t very important to him. If that’s all we have to go on, I believe people have blown some stuff out of proportion.AshlandDuck wrote:Two things that he tweeted after signing day and before spring practice: 1) there's more to life than football 2) that he was feeling immense pressure. Hopefully, the stress of leaving home, starting college, and new pressures to perform on the field are no longer overwhelming and he can jump back in and move forward.
Good luck to him!

Re: Jalen Hall
Do people realize how many 100’s upon 1000’s of different reasons/meanings those two messages could have and IMO explains nothing about if he does or doesn’t love the game. I personally think it is a very mature and responsible perspective. It’s almost comical watching people try to decode what a 17,18,19 yr. old whom they don’t know posts on a social media platform. Then you’ll have several people with differing opinions get into a knockdown drag out message board brawl over who’s opinion is right. It’s almost as bad as Facebook/Twitter Doctorates, Law and police academy degrees some have seemed to earn. I’m curious, what’s a more prestigious degree, one from Facebook or Twitter? Which one has more internet cred when people are bouncing insults off there keyboard?AshlandDuck wrote:Two things that he tweeted after signing day and before spring practice: 1) there's more to life than football 2) that he was feeling immense pressure. The rumors I’ve heard are a close family member was diagnosed with a life changing illness and he went back home to spend time with them and to help get things straightened out, get a routine worked out.

He's made a few Instagram stories and such saying he was coming back, but I'll believe it when he's on the field. Good luck to him regardless what happens.

Re: Jalen Hall
I wasn't speculating about anything except to assume he had a reason to state those things, and to be fair I didn't quote him verbatim. His tweet was more or less that he had a lot on his shoulders, which the logical response would be to assume he's dealing with something personal. That's enough context for me. My assumption isn't that people state such things for the sake of ambiguity.
