4* JC DE Jermaine Johnson OV June 22
Oregon is getting an official visit from 4* JC DE Jermaine Johnson. He supposedly has ties to a couple of Oregon's SoCal commits so the Ducks are a definite contender for him.

I love reading how many recruits are saying it feels like a family, or that it feels like home. I remember when Clemson started their big up-swing under Dabo and recruits were talking about the family atmosphere.

Agreed, and I really think a lot of the credit for that goes to Cristobal. Listening to him, you hear a sincerity in the way he talks about the players and the program that makes me feel really confident in his integrity. I'm still waiting to see how the Xs and Os turn out, but I'm completely sold on his ability to establish the right kind of culture for the team.GoDucksTroll wrote:I love reading how many recruits are saying it feels like a family, or that it feels like home. The trend has been for head coaches to become more like CEOs, setting the culture and being the face of the program. Unless they're a hands-on play caller like Frost or Taggart it's more about delegation and having the right coordinators and position coaches for development. All the faith in the world on Leavitt, with Arroyo we'll have to wait and see because of sample size. I think having a new offensive identity does give us an advantage for 2018; other teams don't know exactly what we're bringing.
