Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
Ducks' 2019 class now ranked at #4 nationally. USC, UW, and Stanford's ranked #24, 32 and 33, respectively. Ducks currently appear to have the second-most 4*s with 14, behind Alabama's 19.

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
The "CaliFlock" movement seems to be quite real. Per Rivals (https://n.rivals.com/state_rankings/2019/California), Tauanu'u is the #7 ranked player in California. This goes along with commitments to the Ducks from CA's #5 (Dollars), 9, 11, 14, 16, 27, 39, 60, 64 and 73 ranked players. USC (not surprisingly) and UW each have a number of commitments from CA's top 100 to date, but Oregon is the clear leader among Pac-12 schools with this group presently. There are still many who are uncommitted among this group.

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
Cross Patton (https://247sports.com/player/cross-patton-46051737/) has committed to Oregon as a walk-on. You may remember him from the "who is Big Boi?" thread.
He's not a bad player, and plays for Woodward Academy in Atlanta - which has produced their share of big prospects. Patton was an FCS level scholarship, but considering his father's wealth he could take a preferred walk-on spot somewhere.
Never hurts to have an extra athlete on the team, especially when his dad is a big draw. Big Boi has been super supportive of his son's desire to play college football, and we've added a bit more flash to the sideline.

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
Everyone wants those DL and LB, thing is unless you are Bama, Florida, tOSU, Clemson, and Georgia you'll always be playing catch up because there just isnt enough to go around. Look at tOSU, they loose Bosa (sp) and they are giving up lots of big plays. One DL/OSB goes down and they go from one of the best front 7's in the country to giving up more big plays than anyone else in the Small10. Everyone wants more nasty top tier DL talent there just isn't enough to go around.UOducksTK1 wrote:Agreed, especially at DL. Feels like we are always playing catchup in recruiting at that position.Duck07 wrote:I like the guys we've got, just want to see more of them.

Is Oregon hosting a number of recruits next month like last year depending on their bowl schedule or was that just a Willie thing?

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
With no coaching change on the horizon and a likely later bowl game, they plan on using the remaining three weekends to host recruits. Not sure which weekend in December is the big recruiting weekend but there is one planned before the early signing period starts on December 19th.thomas time wrote:Is Oregon hosting a number of recruits next month like last year depending on their bowl schedule or was that just a Willie thing?

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
With Kentucky having a good season and them making a big push for all their top in-state recruits, can't say I'm surprised. Oregon still has a few guys they're after at LB so that spot likely won't be open long.

Re: 2019 Oregon Commit List
Oregon has lost another commit as Criddell, only a week after reaffirming his commitment to the Ducks and days after talking about who he was rooming with, has decommitted:
