I cant read the article on the front page with Owa but I can see the first couple quotes and they are baffling!
To paraphrase, I like The Weasel. I've heard great things about him and how he turns programs around. What? Who in Oregon is saying nice things about slick Rick to Owa? Makes no sense....I thought all people in Oregon would have a good education in the policies of the Weasel.
Hope UCLA gets smoked....wait they are playing Washington? Arrrrr....0-0 tie?

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Turns around programs???
I guess in a Dennis Erickson sorta way... Come in, use somebody elses recruits, then run before the water gets too warm?
If the proof is in the pudding, what flavor is Slick cooking up at UCLA?

Can't argue with facts, Skippy does turn programs around, albeit the wrong direction. Both Colorado and Washington were much worse when he left than when he started.

He's kind of like a sugar high. He gives them a temporary boost, then leaves them in worse shape once the high wears off.maxduck wrote:Can't argue with facts, Skippy does turn programs around, albeit the wrong direction. Both Colorado and Washington were much worse when he left than when he started.
