Misery Index

Post by Merganzer »

A USA Today columnist has a weekly, "Misery Index" tabbing troubling situations in college football. In this edition, among others, Willie T & Chris P are critiqued...Stanford & UCLA are trending towards Misery.

Agreed. You could argue that things at UCLA are actually much worse than at FSU long term. If nothing else, at least Willie can recruit. At the moment, FSU has a top 10 class with 11 4-star recruits. UCLA is currently at #67 with only 1 4-star recruit. It is unfathomable to recruit this poorly at UCLA. Chip should have his paycheck withheld for breach of contract.

I don't think UCLA will have a winnable game until they play either Arizona on 9/28 or OSU on 10/5.

No, its not even close. UCLA is a Basketball school and they've always been a basketball school. FSU is known for 1 thing since it moved from being the Florida State Women's College and they look like hot garbage.

Getting down on UCLA football is like doing the same for Duke Football. Even when they're good, they still don't have a fan base that really cares so when they suck, the fan base doesn't really care. This is why the misery for UCLA is so low because the bar has never been set high.
