I was pretty surprised that we offered him, especially with Curtis White on board, and Christian Thomas gaining strong interest. But he looks pretty solid and fast for his size. And he's a solid blocker.

Nice find, definitely looks good out there.

I won't lie, the way he runs and breaks tackles kinda reminds me of Ed Dickson and Tim Day.

Yeah, great find. He does look good on the field. After playing in front of only a handful of fans each game, Autzen will be an awesome experience for Brandon!

I'm not gonna lie, I was really impressed with his body control and hands in traffic. He looks like he can play on the line or in the slot, great mix of strength and athleticism, could be a killer 3rd down target.

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

White is capable to play TE/DE so if coach feel like they need to move white to DE and use Willams for TE along with Paulson and Dion Jordan, Im down for that.

Watching this tape, I think this indicates one of two things:

1. Williams is playing WR for the Ducks... He looks like the kind of guy we look for on the perimeter, solid blocking, great hands.
2. The coaching staff has other plans for White... They're either solid on redshirting him or swapping him to DE, because Paulson, Williams, and Jordan will all be ahead of him when he gets on campus.

I agree and sure hope so. I love the ducks going for stud position players. I think this year has revealed, however, that "chubbies in the trenches" are super critical for future progress. Take Foles for example. He is a good quarterback but any D-1 QB should look good if they have 3-6 seconds in the pocket to throw. It looks like he is in passing drills on a wednesday practice with all day to throw. We see how James and Masoli are so wise in selecting lanes and creating big plays and I can only imagine what they would be like with a top-notch O-line, their vision with a little more time could be even more explosive. As well the D is definitely improved, but getting a stud D-tackle or two and a couple ends each year would make a tremendous difference. In the AZ game everytime the ducks went into a 3 linemen set in D it seemed like the Cats made a big pass play. I think Alliotti did this due to the large size and skill difference resulting in minimal QB pressure, and he was hoping to shade the receivers and cover the mid field for running a bit more. Well the 3 line set is awful and showed that we need to really pick up some stud trenchmen. If White is willing, with his size, it should be a great start!
