Suddenly that loss to Portland doesn't look too bad

Every team needs a PG running the show...It's how it works...They make the big plays...Hit the big 3's...Make all the free throws down the stretch...It's ingrained in them from grade school...It's their job to stop the run, their job to settle the team, their job get the offense going, their job to feed the big man. Armstead does all of these things. So by you saying it's all the PG, you're saying that Freddie Jones, Luke Jackson, Anthony Norwood/Lever, James Davis, Brian Johnson, Chris Christofferson, Malik Hairston, Bryce Taylor, Maarty Leunen, Champ Oguchi, Tajuan Porter, and the rest were all meaningless and are just bums that could be replaced by anybody. Good thinking there sport.

What I'm saying is, without Rid or AB on those teams those guys woulda ended up massively underachieving. Just like the loads of talent on this team right now thats on its way to accomplishing NOTHING. Every team needs a good PG but most coaches can make due without a top flight NBA PG. Ernie can't. I feel bad for these kids. They come to our school thinking Kent is gonna coach 'em up & put them in a position to do some great things. Instead they've all degressed & gotten worse, and are nowhere near success.

Kent can't coach. I honestly, have no idea why you defend him. The reasons for you thinking he should stay are laughable. "We can't get anyone better." Yeah, that's a good way to go through life.

My saying we can't get anyone better is not saying he's a bad coach...That's my point...He's a good coach and an amazing recruiter...You're expecting another coach to come in and bring this caliber of player's in and it's not gonna happen...I don't understand why you hate him so much...How can you say those players wouldn't have done anything?...How do you have any clue?...And top flight NBA PG's huh?...Ridnour doesn't start and is pretty good and Aaron Brooks has been pretty good so far but I wouldn't even put him in the 2nd tier of NBA PG's let alone with top PG's.

I still think the ducks have the potential to do some damage in the pac-10 this season if they stay healthy. It's also encouraging that several other pac-10 teams this season don't appear to be very good. Is it asking too much for them to beat Missouri and St Mary's?

UCLA is miserable. They lost to Long Beach State 79-68. They are now 2-4 and face #1 Kansas next game lol.

Btw Portland plays #8 WVU tonight. A win over them, and Portland should be in the top 25 with some big time national love.

Washington only won by 4, but the point is that they won. Oregon always seems to be terrible in close games. Portland is down big at the half to West Virginia.

montana with a near upset at wash and portland with a blowout at ucla and victory over #16 minn goes to show that these aren't cupcake teams. of course a loss isn't what we want, but sometimes losses look better when you see the teams vs other competition

I don't think so at all...As long as we have a healthy TP and Big Mike we should very much be in both of those games...I just wish we had a few more shooters/basketball players and a few less athletes.

Portland lost by 20 tonight to Idaho. I think it's officially a bad loss. Also, Montana lost at home yesterday to Northern Colorado.
