Why do you guys always post more when a player commits to a different school or decommits from Oregon, YET you all post less when we actually land a commit.
I might be the same way, but it just seems silly to me..
I think in this case it's just a timing thing. There isn't a lot going on right now, this kinda came out of left field and bitch slapped us in the face. We have a month till we get to see our pac 10 champs play again and no practice to talk about right now. So I would guess this is just a timing thing. At least in my case..
Malone is a pretty damn good football player. A 3 star with a lot of the Pac-10 + Nebraska offering...
Just saying, 4 pages here, as opposed to 2 for Malone.

I see your point, It's easy to find things to say when you feel as if you have been burned. It's hard to say much about a recruit that we haven't seen but are excited about.
Nobody was talking about Grant till tonight now people are trying to justify his decision.

Right on, anyway Grant wasn't a NEED for this team. We got 2 speedsters in Barner and LMJ. It sucks to have any player decommit, but we'll be fine.

First of all, it hurts more to lose than to win. It's the same reason we post more when we lose a football game, and the same reason risk aversion exists. Second, because Ethan Grant was one of our highest ranked commits. If we got a four star back, we'd have a pretty long thread too.

Again, good points and it's definitely understandable, but it still seems silly to me.

There isn't really a whole lot to say when someone commits, other than good pick up.
But when someone decomits it fuels all sort of speculation.

But he's not on our team anymore... He's gone, so he doesn't matter to me. I'd rather talk about new commits, check out their stats, talk about the class in general, see where he could potentially fit on our team, etc.
I'm a little late getting the news and sorry TK for adding another post to this thread ( ) but I was really looking forward to seeing this kid play in our offense...this news sucks big-time!
Now I wonder what the good news bad news mentioned earlier was about?
And as TK said luckily we have LMJ and KB at RB and another Schooly to give to a position of need...

The HORDE does what the HORDE does just go with the flow...it is what it is...

The thing with new recruits is that as soon as they commit you can almost see immediately where they will be fitting in to Oregon's future scheme. I think when someone decommits, we all start to find out why he chose a different school, which causes rumors to build. Rumors tend to draw more people than concrete facts since everyone wants to be in the know first.
Also, is it just me or does it seem like Oregon loses a lot more commits to other schools than it gains from these other schools?
TCU has a bunch of young RB's too though. returning Freshmen RBs next year in Ed Wesley and Matthew Tucker, a Redshirt Waymon James and Dwight Smith and Aundre Dean, a UCLA transfer. Something else mist be going on here....
