MBB to do foreign tour in Canada
Oregon MBB is going up to Canada to do a 5-game foreign tour against Canadian universities. It makes sense to do one there instead of the usual European trip because of their Canadian pipeline.

Eugene is further "North" than Toronto.

I keep forgetting how far south Toronto is in Canada.

This is great. For recruiting and for the players from Ontario & Quebec, sure, but also because my wife got her first degree from Ottawa and second degree from Toronto. I never expected our universities to play each other in anything.

Couldn't do any in West Canada?

Very few prospects outside of QC/ON. Over the last ten years or so, the Ducks have had close to a dozen players from those two provinces, and barely missed on a few more.GrantDuck wrote:Couldn't do any in West Canada?

I think doing preseason tours like this can only help a team, especially when there are so many new faces.

Oregon's best seasons have typically occurred when they've done a preseason tour. It allows them to build chemistry and understand what it's like to play in games with one another.Greenblood wrote:I think doing preseason tours like this can only help a team, especially when there are so many new faces.

Will there be live coverage of the games?

I don't believe so as they're basically scrimmages in gyms without broadcasting/streaming equipment.OregonFan4Life wrote:Will there be live coverage of the games?

It looks like the Ducks' game against McGill has stream available but you have to pay $5.38 USD for it.
