Not to sound like a jerk, but why is it bad to have to work a little extra to get some monies?

I had to work summer jobs during college years to save up enough money, and tons of college students work while going to school. I guess football players should be more privileged than the rest of students?

Not trying to derail this thread btw lol…
Football is a full time job in addition to school. Practice, workouts, and traveling is a lot by itself, adding school makes life really crazy, and adding a part time job to all of that seems beyond exhausting.
+1

To the uniforms, I'm liking the color on color for the rivalry game, similar to what SC and UCLA do. Do we know what OSU is wearing on Saturday?

For sure but a full scholarship is already a huge blessing. I know a lot of students who are working just as hard in their schoolwork and other programs within the college. TA work, volunteer work, and other extra curricular stuff. Just saying I feel like our football players get all the perks where if anything, many hard working students could use a little help financial to get by as well.

Anyway good for all the guys who got NILs, but college should focus more school and helping students get jobs and become good members to society.

I worked 25+ hours a week during school, Paid my own tuition, housing, and food to avoid any student loans.
Paid my wife's 4 years as well.
I did have to make a choice between the Wrestling Program and Architecture School in the end.
That’s hard, but probably helped you grow!

I like college students getting help financially but I just feel like football players already get tons of perks where tons of other students don't.

Like other have said, football in a full time job. These kids also make more for the universities they represent than any other program on campus. They deserve to be able to make money from nil if that is available to them. Without football most schools enrollment would be much less. Other students don’t add the value to a school that football players add. Like it or not, if a company or donors thought any old student was worth money, I’d be ok with anyone getting a NIL deal. Unfortunately Joe Smith a 3.0 biology major, isn’t worth 10k a month for a NIL deal.

hythloday1’s write-ups are pretty great. Provides some great insights into the beavers D especially. For whatever reason teams have refused to go run heavy against them, and have into their strength: pass D. They’re really poor against the run though, and with a healthier Nix and an adjusted game plan I expect us to advantage.

The spread is down to Oregon -1, was -3 yesterday. Makes me a little nervous!

Beaver fans seem to think Gulbranson has caught on and will be good enough to beat us. Of course, they’ve played the worst defenses in the conference during that stretch.

I have a feeling their D and our O will stalemate and the other matchup will determine the game. If we can stuff Martinez and force Gulbranson into bad decisions and throws we should win comfortably.

Ducks have arrived even though there's limited power in the area (stadium has power but the locker rooms don't):
