Nothing, just walked into an interview with Redd... Talked a little about Penn State. Penn State is definitely in it. He's still scheduled to visit Oregon.pudgejeff wrote:Posted on Scout/Educk

BTW no way Redd is the secret RB.

I'd keep giving up on lattimore and then someone mention's he still has his visit and I'm like oh ya huh...I hope we blow him away...Sell him and Seastrunk that them splitting carries and being a 2 headed monster will limit the beating they take in college since most RB's have a so-called carry life-span and that they'll have lots of exposureUOducksTK1 wrote:Nothing, just walked into an interview with Redd... Key is getting Latts to keep his scheduled trip. Apparently his family has been saving their $$ for a while to accompany him, so hopefully they'll follow thru (or they have non-refundable tickets already purchased
).

That's a big chunk of change to drop on the visit. If it holds up that the faily comes out with him, they really mean business.

Re: Lattimore tips hand?
thats why some people feel strongly about our chances with latts. he is serious about oregon and postponed his trip so that his parents would have the ability to come out with him. if its the place he wants to be, its easier to sell the parents if they've also gotten a 1st hand experience from the university and town. and if i remember correctly and if its still the plan, his sister is planning on moving with him to wherever he chooses to go to school.ncduck wrote:That's a big chunk of change to drop on the visit. Per Jhop on DT, regarding Latt, family cannot make it.

That's not a good sign.

Hate to be a downer, but will be very surprised if we get either Lache or Marcus. Sea will go to USC, bank on it. Marcus no family traveling means what little shot we had is now about totally gone.

Dude, how do you know? Sounds like a pessimist to me.MacDuck wrote:Hate to be a downer, but will be very surprised if we get either Lache or Marcus. Sea will go to USC, bank on it. Marcus no family traveling means what little shot we had is now about totally gone.

I'm forever the opptomist but i agree with MacDuck on Latt. We've had too many highly rated east coast recruits visit, love it & go elsewhere because their family wasn't sold on them going far from home. Latt's parents not coming seals the deal that he won't be a Duck, IMO.MacDuck wrote:Hate to be a downer, but will be very surprised if we get either Lache or Marcus. Sea will go to USC, bank on it. I don't know what to think about Lache. If I had to bet I'd say he goes to SC but they aren't the dominant pac10 champs anymore... we are. We won the pac10 by the biggest margin in almost 20 years. That has to be good for something when competing with SC for a recruit.

Re: Lattimore tips hand?
Re Lache, first of all how many recruiting battles do we win vs USC? Secondly, they get his last trip, they are recruiting him as hard as we are and he has other SC commits in his ear all week in San Antonio. Mix all that in with the kind of personality everyone says he has and that's why he's all SC. That's not being a downer, that's realistic.
As for Latts, I kind of liked our chances more for him vs LS, but now that the parents aren't coming, I see little shot. Also, Scout update on him from the Army game today said he has 2 schools in mind right now. He says these 2 are basically the faves, but he wants to hold off until he visits Oregon to be sure. In other words, we have to overcome these 2 that are ahead of us right now w/o the parents tripping.

^^ Possible Oregon is 1 of the 2 and his visit could decide the selection???
