And think of how much SC's recruiting would drop off. That school can pretty much recruit itself but with Petey gone there will definitely be a drop off. And Riley has never been a good recruiter. More good news for us.

I don't see him leaving for another west coast school and I don't think he'd leave after one season; and besides we have a better team than SC coming back.

The program that scares me to death is Penn State. If that one ever opened, it may be hard for him to turn down.

Petey is not going anywhere....USC is Pete Carroll....right now...he has done the NFL job it would have to be a lot of $$ and position for Pete Carroll to leave the jaugernaut that is USC..program

Reportedly he is being offered 22 over 5 to be head VP and Head Coach.

I disagree ksmack. I bet he feels he has some unfinished binissss at the next level. If he can be coach and VP I think he could go - plus, 22 million aint bad.

Chris Mortensen said he would be shocked if Carroll didn't end up in Seattle and the only holds up at the moment are Carroll's control over the front office and whether he can get Jeremy Bates to come with him instead of going to the Bears.

Keep in mind, though I would luv for PC to leave for the NFL, if it happens it will certainly bolster UCLA's recruiting. Could see it hurting our chances for Jefferson & Dargan, but would help w/Seastrunk.

I don't think SC would lose much of their recruits. Remember can't Hacket still landed top 10 classes, and he was as bad a HC as there is.
