Ohio rep introduces act that makes flag planting a felony
Is there a softer program in college football than Ohio State?

If I was an athlete there I would be pissed. It's all part of the game with the flag and all.

Has anyone here watched “Tiebreaker”? When it comes to OSU vs UM, OSU was first to disrespect the flag/banner thing.
One thing I learned this year being in the BIG 10 is that the bigger the blue blood, the bigger the tears. OSU, PSU and Alabama fans are the biggest freaking babies in all of football.

I thought the extremes of the west coast would take the cake for decriminalizing possession of some fentanyl/meth and no felony for stealing nearly $1,000 from a store...
But! This is hilarious!!

I can't tell a person's ethnicity from their name and putting together a culture war bill that doesn't help anybody, so no.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:32 pmbecause he's black?StevensTechU wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:26 pmI knew this representative's political party even before I looked it up....UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:22 pm I thought the extremes of the west coast would take the cake for decriminalizing possession of some fentanyl/meth and no felony for stealing nearly $1,000 from a store...

Hopefully the reaction from this bill is bipartisan headshake.

It only applies to OSU, not any other university in the state. In addition I cannot see how it would possibly pass 1st Amendment scrutiny.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I missed the joke in this thread. Perhaps TK can be kind enough to explain it.

Oh it’s a joke about prejudices and biases. A progressive would see such a law and assume an ultra-white ultra-rightGreenblood wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:09 am I'm embarrassed to admit that I missed the joke in this thread. Perhaps TK can be kind enough to explain it.
wing straight man who is rich because of his ancestors would make such legislation.
I notice often that the left does this, they assume that because someone looks a certain way, they should vote certain way or must think the same way. That is actually racism.
As a middle eastern man I am often treated this way by liberals as well. Because I’m a minority, they think then I just went free handouts. They believe I can’t do anything on my own but need someone else to fish for me. They’re racist.
You wouldn’t understand unless you’re a minority, or one who has come out of oppression. So I find it humorous in my mind that Stephen thought he read this situation like a book, but there’s a brother like me breaking the mold.
Regardless of the actual point of discussion (because in this case I believe bipartisan we all believe this law is silly), I laugh when a liberal thinks they know exactly who is who but then a homie like me comes in to dismantle their bias/racism.
Again you’re probably too white to understand and that’s ok! I don’t hold it against you. Cheers!

Re: Ohio rep introduces act that makes flag planting a felony
I heard about this a few days ago and shook my head at the fan base and had a chuckle like most. Yesterday while driving around the sports talk host had the rep who wrote the bill on his show. In summary the rep wrote the bill knowing it would never make it to the governor’s desk, in fact the house in Ohio is in a lame duck session and no bills will make it through. He said he wrote the bill because on of the Ohio state police personnel on duty at the game got trampled and sustained a serious head injury by one of the players, so is why pepper spray was used to clear players away from the injured officer. The rep said his only intent was to cause so much internet chatter that it forced the NCAA and school officials to react and and hopefully consider doing their jobs. I did listen to the whole interview and it certainly put things ina different light. Again, the rep never intended for this to become a law, he was trying to get the NCAA to do its job…… good luck with that. He did say as a result he does have some meetings with school officials and hopefully the ncaa after the season is over.
