Combine Oregon Football + Oregon Football Recruiting into one forum?

Right now we have recruiting and football separated into two forums. We don't have the traffic like we did a decade ago, so to me it doesn't make sense to have to browse to two separate forums to talk football. Thoughts?

I'm largely an "active topics" browser but if you want to streamline things by keeping recruiting to the respective sport sub-threads I don't see an issue but maybe it would lose all of the old discussions as a result? I do enjoy going back and looking at recruits we took/passed on and seeing how things turned out.

If we ended up with old basketball recruit topics in the football subthread I doubt it'd be an issue if it meant it saved those topics.

I don't think we'd lose old discussions as a result. I will make sure we don't if I end up combining them.

I’m of the opinion keep them separate, just feel like two very distinct kind of conversations.

separate.... I rarely ever check the recruiting forum so I like the separation

I'd say leave them separate since you end up with too many pinned threads on top otherwise.

I prefer it as is but there would be one small tweak that would make a big difference if it is even possible. On the Forum page it sure would be nice if the last post along with date/time was displayed (for each individual forum) like the topics do inside of each respect of forum. You wouldn't have to click through the forums that don't have any new posts if so. Might seem kind of petty but it is somewhat annoying performing the redundancy when there is nothing new to read in the respective forum.

The traffic on the site has indeed slowed down a bit since I joined which is a lot more recent than some of the original members. But I really appreciate you and the other admins keeping it a well-oiled machine, a lot of people would neglect the site and let it die over time. It's still a great source of information and conversation. Minus the statistically expected Super Fan overreaction as well alcohol fueled posts, it's a great core of frequent contributors. Thank you all for making it what it is.

So I use the Active Topics section to typically browse unless I'm looking up things like a recruit/coach and what we said in the past.
