I know there is a word for when it's nearing the end of the season and suddenly your two highest paid veterans are out for extended periods and you start losing games with higher frequency. I just can't think of that word right now, but it will come to me.pezsez1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 9:35 am Blazers definitely aren't tanking right now. They're just finally playing more playoff-caliber teams that are starting to battle for seeding. This squad definitely has some spunk, but they're still no match for Western Conference playoff teams in games that really matter.
We'll know they're tanking when Ant, Grant, Deni and Sharpe go down with back spasms. Maybe even Clingan, too, he's too good on defense. Time to give the Scoot/Banton duo some serious run!
And then, yeah, we're going to need a ton of luck because we likely won't move up (down) too many spots.
If Ayton was out there, these games would look different.
