Yeah, 'Saturday Down South' writer saw Oregon beat Texas A&M and Alabama in the same tournament, so maybe has a bit more respect than Yahoo guy. He has more faith in the Oregon fans traveling than I do though. I am not projecting past the Liberty game in a ridiculous region. Arizona actually has some of the best betting odds to win it all.

Two 12 seeds have already won, and UC San Diego was close to pulling the upset off as well.
Ducks should expect a tough game tonight.

Looks like Coach Altman's perfect record in the first round will remain intact. Up 29 points with a little over 8 minutes to go. Liberty left their 3-point shooting back in Virginia.

This is a real ass-to-belt game. Jerry Falwell Jr is going to need two pool boys after this one.

That was the least competitive 5 vs 12 matchup ever as the Ducks were just too fast, big, and locked in. Can't wait to see how Oregon matches up against Arizona.

Great game ducks! Just too good for Liberty. Love the change of pace the second unit brings with their top notch defense.
The announcers were incredibly awful! That white dude might as well had a MAGA hat or Liberty jersey under his shirt while Jalen Rose was taking a nap. He said so many dumb things like “I can’t believe Liberty is shooting 3 for 25 with how they shot all season” or “If Liberty shot 14 or 15 of 29 from three like they normally do, not 5 for 29, they might be winning”. Hey dumb dumb, this might be too hard for you to understand, but maybe, just maybe, Oregon’s defense and size had something to do with Liberty’s poor shooting….

The Liberty coach was very complimentary to Oregon and said he would root for the Ducks in the next game. I thought that was pretty classy and particularly when compared with your post.StevensTechU wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 9:11 pmFantastic play.

Blowouts are the worst games for announcers to call, especially in a tournament format where they are there to cover just those games and haven't really covered the teams. When he made the comment about even if they had shot 14/28 at that point they'd have still trailed by 8 it showed what a blowout it was.OregonFan4Life wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 10:28 pm Great game ducks! One of the better, more relaxing Ducks BB games I can recall ever watching in fact.

Fair point, I just couldn’t believe the lack of credit he was giving to the Oregon defense, it was as if bad luck Liberty was shooting so poorly when a large reason was Oregon played great defense all game long.Duck07 wrote:Blowouts are the worst games for announcers to call, especially in a tournament format where they are there to cover just those games and haven't really covered the teams.
