Zachary Neel and Prehm were among the first to report this.
Not surprising. Prehm rarely has football inside knowledge but wants to be first reporting something.

Well, Neel said he heard it from 'multiple sources close to the program'. I never saw anything from MOPS, but maybe he was just piggybacking on clickbait without checking first? Neel did some faulty reporting last year about Will Stein joining Ohio State if I remember correctly. Seems all of his sources close to the program need to get a little closer to the program.

He said, she said. When has an ‘insider’ had the true story, recently? Ducks brass bars anyone within the media (outside of Moseley), to witness anything, and he ain’t saying sh*t if he wants to keep his job. May be true, but with a severe asterisk of probability.

I don't know, but if Davison is completely healthy, this is a pretty big whiff from Neel, and I will certainly be taking anything he posts with a grain of salt henceforth.

Has anyone considered that he actually DID break his collarbone, but was taken to a secret Nike facility where he was murdered then replaced with a clone a la Johnny Phoenix in the classic Schwarzenegger film “The 6th Day”?

Most of the injury news from insiders tends to be on point, at least from what leaks out from beyond the paywalls. Usually news like this breaks, and then all the insiders shut up and play dumb while coaches remain intentionally vague until we find out that, yep, so-and-so is indeed injured. The initial break often turns out to bear fruit though. Of course though there's room for variance... maybe he was hurt but it wasn't as bad as originally feared and he won't miss significant time.

That said, it's way too early in the year for me to really care. Hopefully Davison is healthy whenever he's available to play, whether that's Week 1 or Week 6. This team is so loaded at QB and WR that Davison should be able to take all the time he needs and our offense shouldn't skip a beat.
Willie Taggart is a dick.
