Women's Exhibition: Bushnell @ Oregon (Oct. 20)
Lady Ducks beat next-door Bushnell Beacons of the NAIA 120-35. Maybe the best takeaway is that the Ducks shot nearly 60% from beyond the arc. Hopefully that suggests that they could be good 3-point shooting team, which they'll probably need to be to have a really successful season.

Like noted its a no competition exhibition. Loved how excited the Bushnell player got for any good play they made regardless of how much they were getting outscored.
The 4 freshman all displayed a skill set that is interesting even though they obviously won't have the same results in real competition. Brooklynn Haywood in particular has a massive tool chest to work with. She has quick feet, court awareness, and a pretty looking 3 point shot with a super quick release. While nobody is going to go 6 for 6 on threes every game, I would be shocked if she doesn't end up with a high 3pt percentage and be able to get off a good number of shots. Watching her she reminded me a lot of Peyton Scott, former player and current Duck assistant coach. Wouldn't be surprised to see her be the first player off the bench this year.
Graves knows this undersized team is going to have to rely on their quick handed guards to drop down and harass and create a huge turnover advantage to have any chance against the B1G teams where they will be the smallest in team in the league. On paper they look like they could be a really good 3 point shooting team and they were for this exhibition. They'll need to be.
