Re: JJ at the senior bowl review
JJ is a bonafide 3rd and long back and would also work well to spread out the field and get him mismatched on on a slower linebacker.

Re: JJ at the senior bowl review
I love JJ as much as anyone and was jumping out of my seat when he did his thing in the game. However, I think the main issue holding NFL teams back from having JJ higher on their lists is JJ's repaired knee. It is not his fault, but it is an issue that a scout/coach needs to consider before investing a bank-roll into any player. Had he had not busted his knee and was able to finish the season last year and was 100% this year coming out of the gate, he would be a 1st, or early 2nd rounder.

Yeah and I'm sure the Minnesota Vikings are kicking themselves for "taking the chance" on Adrian Peterson and his injury concerns coming into the draft.
I hope JJ goes to a solid team and can become part of a 1-2 punch like J-Stew has. I think it gives him a good shot to prolong his career a little.

Youre probably right Jhop, they won't care at all that he blew out his knee in college. Thanks.

tinfoil that was not directed to be negative towards you, it just sounded that way in print. they will def, take note of his knee injury dropping his stock, I meant when it does the team that gets him will get a steal of a deal.

Re: JJ at the senior bowl review
Thanks Jhop. I did a poor job of it, but I was trying to point out was I think he could be a very tight NFL prospect "if given" a chance and in the right circumstance. I worry about his shoulder situation this year too as these Draft monkeys discect kids down to minutia. They will take a bigger leap of faith on kids like Peterson who is 6'2.5" 230 and faster than lightning coming off knee surgery before a kid who is 5' 8" 196 and quick as lighting. And if JJ had not had knee surgery, I bet he would be an early 2nd rounder rather than the 3rd or 4th round as predicted on the links supplied in the post. I was attempting to point out that the claim of east coast bias really dosent hold that much water when it comes to NFL drafting. I suspect the knee, combined with size has a lot more to do with his draft prediction placement than does anything else.
That being said, I hope he sets the NFL world on fire like he has for us who love the kid.

Willis MacGahee had a laugh at that! (Well, maybe not a laugh, it was a horrific injury...) I think his knee injury was magnitudes worse than JJ's, and the Ravens haven't been complaining!
