Sad news...Luge is a crazy sport and I'm surprised it doesn't happen more...I hope they find some way to honor him!
I love the winter Olympics and I can't wait for it to start.

I'm not an avid luge watcher but why are there unpadded steel posts anywhere on that course? I doubt a padded post would have saved him but that's besides the point. That is awfully negligent in my opinion. Especially on a course that is hailed as the fastest one in the world. My heart goes out to his family but it seems oh so very senseless.

Darn they removed it again, the crash looked terrible, the guy hits an embankment to hard and goes flying off his sled his body then hits three or four iron columns before he finally lands.chump01284 wrote:KeenanHowry15 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8c9vz0GMdw

If anyone is watching the olympics, they opened up by showing the accident. Very said, and difficult to watch. If I was participating in Luge, I would be scared to now do this event on that track.

Re: Olympic Luge Death
With all of the practice crashes, many occurring on the same area of the course, you have to wonder if that track has a massive design flaw.
