There should be no reason that they shouldn't be going hard in a game. It seems like at the end of the 1st half and the beginning of the 2nd that they let up and don't kick it in until the game is out of hand.woundedknees wrote:Where was this level of intensity when the game was getting out of hand?

Yup, these guys always look like they are playing the first game of the season and like they haven't played together. Nice adjustments as usual Ernie.

[quote="duckgrad99"]Arizona State plays good defense. We will be lucky to shoot 40% and score more than 50 points.[/quote
Oh well, I was close.

Well, the rest of the team besides Porter was over 40%, who was 1-11. I say once he's at like 1-6 then Ernie needs to just sit him down, but Ernie won't do this since TP's a senior. He needs to realize that TP is bringing this team down, not helping. He's done stuff in the past but that was because he wasn't the main scorer. It seems once he became the main scoring threat, the team's performance has suffered.duckgrad99 wrote:duckgrad99 wrote:Arizona State plays good defense. Anybody know why Jamil Wilson didn't play?

Porter is now shooting 29% in pac-10 play. I know he had better players around him, but Porter was better his freshman season. Dunigan has also been a big time disappointment given expectations.

Re: Oregon @ Arizona State (Saturday)
Every game, it seems like someone doesn't play for some unexplained reason. Today it was Jamil Wilson. Would it hurt to give Crittle some minutes, especially when Dunigan gets in fould trouble? On top of that, we have had an upperclassmen in Longmire miss several games, and I wasn't aware that Catron would miss most of the season. There are always so many issues with this program with important players missing games for one reason or another. With no stability or consistentcy, the losing really shouldn't be a surprise.

Am I the only one thats worried about Kent BSing the hell out of MB & sneaking himself into one more year? I'm afraid if we even win one more game Kent will find a way to stay around.DarronThomas1 wrote:Can't you see Ernie using these injuries as a crutch to try and keep his job? please Mike don't listen to him! I could definitely see it. Kent has 9 lives. If it happens, I hope they are happy with a half full new arena. Also, how is it that nobody on the roster was redshirted, especially with several players being in the same class? In a few years, like 6 players will graduate and we will be left with a brand new roster all over again. For example, Wiley and Crittle should have been redshirted if they are only going to play 5 minutes a game or not at all. It just baffles me how the administration can put up with this crap. I appreciate the effort they put into football, but basketball shouldn't be ignored.

You are kidding, right?
I seriously doubt the new arena can gain 50% capacity for a season, as long as EK is the coach.

I'm going to guess with all of the hype surrounding the Arena, it will be able to sell itself, regardless how bad our team is.woundedknees wrote:duckgrad99 wrote:dthomas=ddixon wrote:Am I the only one thats worried about Kent BSing the hell out of MB & sneaking himself into one more year? Agreed, but only for a limited time.....The newness will wear off real quick with the teams results remaining the same as they are now.
