IMO, Turgeon needs to be the #1 guy on MB's list & we need to get him no matter what. I don't think we can afford to miss out on a guy like this. He's too good of a fit & anyone else besides an elite level coach would be a huge step down.

I will be doing cartwheels in the snow if we get Turgeon! Perfect fit for what we want to get done here at the O...

Him and Dixon from Pitt are the top of my list right now. Anyone else would be a slight disappointment.

Dixon is my number 1 choice, but Turgeon is 1a. Turgeon would be a terrific hire.
However, I wouldn't be disappointed with Steve Alford.
Maybe it's because I'm not an Oregon native, but I think people are fawning over Mark Few a little too much. The guy has been a very successful coach, but I'm not sure that I would take him over Mark Turgeon.
Also, is being an Oregon alum that important? Do we really want to hire a less qualified coach because of it....

I'm not really all that sold on Few either. Yes, he's an alum, but Turgeon and Dixon have proven they can get to the Sweet 16 also.uostudent wrote:Dixon is my number 1 choice, but Turgeon is 1a. Turgeon would be a terrific hire.

I started off leaning towards Few. Now I like Turgeon or Dixon. Patino would be amazing, but the most short term. As far as the hottest coach, we only have to wait a few weeks. Why don't we just offer the coach who finishes highest in the tourny this year? Just kidding.

So like Calipari, Self, Coach K, or Boeheim? One could only hope.soduck wrote:I started off leaning towards Few. Now I like Turgeon or Dixon. Patino would be amazing, but the most short term.
