Dino Gaudio out at Wake Forest

Wow. Wake Forest had just signed Gaudio to a contract extension in October. I've always thought of Gaudio as an outstanding recruiter and a pretty darn good coach to boot. This is crazy that Wake fired him after only three years. He should immediately move to 2nd on our list. Gaudio would be a fantastic option.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Stevens goes to Wake Forest now.

That hurts our chances with Stevens, but yeah we should go after Gaudio. He has a solid record, and back to back tourney appearances. Unless there is something that he did off the court to get fired he would be a solid hire.

Seems like a guy we should go after but him getting fired like this makes you question if there's something more than poor post-season performance.

I know his teams tanked and didn't go deep in the tourny, but it seems strange to me that Wake Forest got rid of Gaudio so fast unless he did something that we don't know about. I don't think Oregon has much of a shot with Stevens regardless of this.
