Why we won't get a new Head Coach in the foreseeable future

Post by duckfan2121 »

We won't be getting a new coach anytime soon because they don't have a boss... Who in their right mind would take a job not knowing who will be their superior? I'm mind of surprised not a single one of you has mentioned this before...

We will be getting an Athletic Director before we will get a new basketball coach, bank on it.

Maybe PK was out talking to AD prospects? Anyone have any thoughts in to who he may have been talking to if that is the case?

PK is not in charge of finding a AD.

This was mentioned when Belotti left the program......

The assumption has been that the new coach would be a "Nike Guy" and he would realize that his boss would be Phil Knight.

on a side note, I read something earlier that the Butler AD had some Oregon ties and could possibly be packaged with Brad Stevens, obviously that is just speculation.....

Barry Collier was an assistant under Don Monson in the early eighties. He grew up in Indianapolis, coached at Butler for 11 years, and returned as AD in 2006. I doubt he is going anywhere.
